Turkish Delights

Hi! This August, me and my cousin, Eva, went on a real vacation. By real I mean that we went to a travel agency, picked a hotel and they planned everything for us. It was our graduation present from our grandfather.
I personally wanted to see Marocco, but for some reason, my grandma thought it would be more dangerous than Turkey. So that is where we ended up!
We stayed at a hotel named Club Flora, in Gümbet, near Bodrum. It is in the south - eastern part of Turkey. It was a three star hotel and the room was plain, but nice. The only problem was that in Turkey, it is forbidden to flush the toilet paper!! So you have to throw it away in the garbage...eww!! I guess we broke the law (and maybe some pipes!) by not following this rule...
Anyways, the weather in Turkey is nice. Very hot, a little humid, but windy! Which feels good in the summer heat :-) The hotel pool was amazing...nice, cold, but not too much, and big. We stayed by the pool most of our time there...the sea was not so nice. A little dirty, plus the "beautiful, long and sandy beach" was about three metres wide and ten metres long, not sandy and not beautiful...which was a little disappointing :-( we went there only once...
We had an all - inclusive plan. Which means that - starting 8 AM and ending 11 PM  - we could eat and drink whatever we wanted and have as much of it as we wanted. I always managed to get up to catch the breakfast before they cleaned the tables and started serving lunch! Haha...the breakfast was amazing, wide selection of eggs, salamis, cereals, cheese, fruit and olives. The lunches and dinners were nice, too. Lots of veggies. I loved the veggies. But when it came to the meals itself - I wasn't that impressed. I liked it, but the variety was low...I mean - we had 14 different types of rice...and that was it. I love rice. But not twice or three times a day every day! And another downside to the eating part - there were always waiters taking away your used plates and glasses and cups, but what if I wanted to refill my glass with water? I had to take a new one...so, during one meal, I would use about five plates and glasses, because they would take it away from me even with some food left on it...they were so fast that you couldn't stop them! :D They would also start random conversations with you during your meal or sit right next to you...
The pool bar was amazing though...I have to admit, I had at least one beer a day and two to three coctails. I fell in love with gin and tonic...who would've known it is so good! My favorite drink now! Plus - one of the barmans was too cute to resist. His name was Firat...
Me and Eva, we tryed to work out almost every day. We wanted to try out this new program - the Bodyrock! It was INTENSE! But it felt good :)
In the evenings, we would sit at the pool bar or visit Bodrum. To get to Bodrum, we had to take the public transportation, which was AMAZING. We stood in front of the hotel and when the bus came (like every 5 minutes...) we just waved at the driver, he stopped, and then when we needed to get off, we pressed the STOP button and got out. It was cheap, too. One way was 1,50 euros. The buses were working up until 5 AM!

This picture was taken right after our Bodyrock work out :)

At the pool bar...
