Picture Sunday!

Hi! Today was my last day off before the Terror Week begins! Tomorrow, the mom of the kids I take care of goes to a hospital to give birth. She's having a C - section and she'll be there for almost a week. Which means that I have to take care of the household... I can only imagine how Gaspard will act...so I am a bit nervous about that...I had a nice day today, I spent it with my friends Simona and Anetka! Here's what we did today ;-)

First of all, I ate my breakfast. I love that we have fresh orange juice here all the time and the best coffee machine...which makes the best coffee, of corse!

Then I did my make - up...

And hair...

And picked out my clothes...

Finally, I was ready to go!

The Cathedral of Bordeaux was opened! So I had to peek inside...

These are some fun pieces from Musée des Beaux - Arts! This is supposed to be an African man...made out of seashells.

The Rape of Lucretia by Titian

St. Mark and St. Peter's dictation by Giuseppe Vermiglio

I thought this was very funny...look at his head! The Miracle of Saint Just by Pierre Paul Rubens

This is the sign of Bordeaux...you can see it everywhere, even on the floor.

In front of the l'Hotel de ville :-) with Simona

It says:" Acces forbidden to second - cathegory dogs" ?! What is a "second cathegory" dog? :-D

I want this!

We stopped by for a cup of coffee...

and a crepe au chocolat!

Even though it seems like I'm having a good time here in Bordeaux, I'm not... It's because of Gaspard. I want to change my familly (which I can), but it means leaving this family in a very difficult situation, with the newborn and all. And also moving, packing...getting used to new household...believe me or not, this is very tiring as well. I'm not sure if I want to go through that right now. Also, the new family can be a lot worse...Which leaves me here, with a big decision. I just hope I make a good one and it will be all worth it!

Yo' gotta get this blue!

Hi! Today I prepared for you something new. A nail design tutorial! Oh yes, you heard well. Shall we get started?

First of all, you need to clean and shape your nails. Because I just moved to France with only one suitcase, I had to buy a new manicure set! This one cost me 6,95 € and I bought it at Claire's.

To do this design, you only need two different colored nail polishes (the best is if the colors contrast or compliment each other - like red & black, green & gold, white & some bright color...), some cotton - tips, old receipt or a piece of paper and a clear top coat.

Start with your nails cleaned and depolished. Paint all of your nails with the first - base - color - in my case I chose bright red Hot Gossip by Rimmel. I did one coat.

Take out your other nailpolish. I opted for a dark blue - Yo' gotta get this blue! by OPI. I poured a drop of the polish on my receipt and took the cotton tip. With one side, I created dots on both of my ring fingers and I smudged them a lot. It creates a nice - almost crakled like - design.

Now is a time when you can do a second coat of the first color, if you need to. To finish off, paint the top coat over all of your nails, but be careful - you need to wait until the design copletely dries. Otherwise you would destroy it!

Put on your favorite ring (I got mine also at Claire's for 2 €) and  you are ready to roll (or rock?!).

French Cliche!

Today our prof showed us this amazing and funny video! I just wanted to share it with you :-) What do you think? Is it true?

Shell Life & The Watch

This weekend was one of the firts ones over here when I got to enjoy it on my own. Saturday night I went out with my friend Simona, we went to the movies. We saw The Watch, one of the best comedies I've ever seen! I laughed throughout the entire movie :-) Afterwards we walked through the city a little and cought the last tram to go home. It was very nice, funny, and relaxing :-)

The Cathedral at night, all lit up, is just so beautiful...

Sunday morning me and 5 other fille au pair took a bus to the beaches at Cap Ferret. It was an interesting morning - the bus we wanted to take didn't stop at our stop, we only saw the sign "BUS COMPLET" and watched it pass by...Luckily, on the other side of the city, there was another bus going the same direction, so we walked towards it. As I needed to pee, I walked into one cute restaurant to use their toilettes. While I was in the middle of the bussiness, Simona called: " Adéle, depeche - toi!! Le bus est déja arrivé! " (Hurry up, the bus is here! ) So I pulled up my pants, didn't flush nor wash my hands, grabbed my purse and ran like hell towards the bus. It was 10 minutes early and luckily we cought it!

The beach was amazing...we were almost alone there...it was so serene and beautiful! We even tried out the ocean - even though the water had about 15 degrees and the air 20...

We also ate crepes that day! :-) This is Lisa from Germany.

We watched the sunset from the bus, it was breathtaking. Unfortunately, my camera didn't catch it...

I brought many shells from the beach...I want to decorate my room with them :-)
